Studio Kinship is an Aboriginal-owned developer of culturally appropriate housing.

Our mob lives all together. It’s what makes us, us. But our houses don’t let us stay healthy and keep our culture strong.

For us, a Western home is like a maze. It makes us break with our lore many times a day. And our kids don’t grow to respect culture.

Some of us would rather be homeless than break with our cultural lore. Some of us have have no choice.

Housing is not about physical structures. It’s about how we relate to each other across generations as we’ve always done.

In the right houses our mob can grow strong together, preserve culture and take care of country.

Studio Kinship serves Aboriginal families across Australia with the assistance of government, corporate and investor partners who share our commitment to social impact. We sit in neutral ground, holding a space for new solutions based on cultural lore common to the majority of language groups.

We acknowledge the many Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and honour their Elders past and present.

We respect their enduring connection to their lands, waterways and surrounding clan groups since time immemorial. We cherish the richness of Aboriginal’ artistic and cultural expressions. Our office is located on Whadjuk Noongar Land.
